Privacy policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
This policy explains what Sightify collects, why, who handles it for us, and what you can ask us to do with it. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture, from Google, Microsoft or the email you sign in with.
- What you give us: your domain, brand name, questions, competitors, country and language.
- What we produce: AI answers, scores, sources, tasks and reports for your brand, and public text we read from your website.
- Billing details: your plan, invoices and, if you add one, your GSTIN. Card details go to our payment providers and never reach us.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, used to run the site, limit abuse and find faults.
Why we use it
- to run your reports and show them to you;
- to send reports, sign-in links and notices about your account;
- to take payment and keep the records the law requires;
- to keep the service secure and working.
We rely on our contract with you to provide the service, on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and improving it, and on legal duties for tax and accounting records.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember app settings, such as your light or dark theme and how you last signed in. We use no advertising cookies and no analytics. Cloudflare Turnstile, our bot check, may use its own technical data to tell people from bots.
Who handles data for us
These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide the service:
- AI providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Google receive the questions we ask, which include brand and competitor names. They do not receive your name or email address.
- Payments: Polar and Razorpay.
- Email: Brevo.
- Hosting, backups and bot check: Hostinger and Cloudflare.
- Sign-in: Google and Microsoft, if you choose them.
Some of these companies work outside your country, so your data may be processed elsewhere under their own safeguards. We share data beyond this list only when the law requires it.
Shared reports
If you create a share link, anyone with that link can open the report. You can turn a link off at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and report data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days, and it leaves our backups within a further 14 days. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Sightify is a tool for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For a change that matters, we will also email account holders.
